Our industry-leading reputation for excellent, long term relationships with our Licensees - some running more than one pub with us - we believe has led us to develop a unique way of working which is demonstrated in this Code of Practice. We believe our Licensees choose an Agreement with Greene King because they value the relationship with us and the support a tied Agreement provides. Our Licensees tell us that they appreciate the relatively low level of capital required to launch their own business within a tied Agreement. We believe they also recognise the lower fixed costs and reduced risks associated with this type of arrangement. You'll like working with us because we believe everyone is an individual with different needs and this Code of Practice helps us to offer the right support to you.
We'll make sure that you are given a full copy of our Code of practice during your Application process.
The BBPA, BII and FLVA have recently agreed an enhanced Industry Framework Code which has been sent to the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills. The new Code introduces a formalised conciliation and advisory service, a tri-annual review process and a range of technical improvements. This new and Enhanced Framework Code will supersede the existing Framework Code. This is a document that will be treated by Greene King as legally binding for the benefit of our lessees from the 1st January 2012, with the exception of clauses that require changes to our own Code of Practice. As a result the Code of Practice is also being updated, and will be re-issued by the 31st March 2012 at which point the remaining clauses of the Industry Framework Code will be legally binding.
