Which course is right for me?

Every company knows how important it is to invest in the training and development of their staff and as a small business person you should not be any different, therefore you'll need to allow a set amount as a training provision as part of getting your pub. This is the same for all our new Licensees. However, you may need to slightly increase this investment if you have never run a pub before.

Example 1

The following is recommended if you have no previous self-employed experience, little or no bar/pub experience and if you're changing career and haven't run a pub before.

• Go For Growth (Mandatory)
• Specialist Tenant Training (3-5 days)
• BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for PLH (NCPLH)
• Cellar Management
• Finance
• Level 2 Food Safety

Example 2

The following is recommended if you already have some pub or bar experience, have management experience but have never been self employed, or if you've been out of the trade for some time and need a refresher.

• Go For Growth (Mandatory)
• Specialist Tenant Training (3-5 days)
• BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for PLH (NCPLH)
• Cellar Management
• Finance
• Level 2 Food Safety (if not already attained)

Example 3

The following is recommended for you or your manager if you're a multiple or entrepreneurial operator

• BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for PLH (NCPLH)
• Cellar Management
• Finance
