Pub overview

A traditional public house with six letting rooms and huge opportunity for growth

One of Wantage's most thriving public houses, the Bell is a traditional town centre pub overlooking the town square where the weekly market takes place. The Bell is currently home to 7 darts teams and local groups, which in addition to the passing customers, gives the pub a healthy daily trade.

With an easy going and friendly atmosphere where locals can come for TV sport, live entertainment and a range of quality ales it is a great pub for either an experienced publican or those new to the trade. We are looking for someone to enhance the food side of the business, as there is opportunity for growth in this area.

The Bell is in excellent condition, featuring a long single bar partitioned into three eating and drinking areas. A front bar area provides relaxed dining with a second area providing television entertainment and an additional 20 covers. The third area makes a perfect place to gather for sports groups and darts. There are 6 letting rooms, 3 of which have ensuite and 3 sharing facilities

“ The Bell has been built up by the previous tenant, with the addition of local beers and a great hearty food offer we could make a very special pub unique in the area. ”
