One of Wantage's most thriving public houses, the Bell is a traditional town centre pub overlooking the town square where the weekly market takes place. The Bell is currently home to 7 darts teams and local groups, which in addition to the passing customers, gives the pub a healthy daily trade.

With an easy going and friendly atmosphere where locals can come for TV sport, live entertainment and a range of quality ales it is a great pub for either an experienced publican or those new to the trade. Location

The Bell occupies a prime corner plot in the busy and affluent market town of Wantage. The population lies at 10,000 people however the town has undergone some investment and development including the new Waitrose & Sainsbury's store as well as new housing developments dotted around the town centre.

Wantage is at the crossing of the B4507 valley road, the A417 road between Reading and Cirencester and the A338 road between Hungerford (and junction 14 of the M4 motorway) and Oxford. This is a very busy market town that has planned housing developments and excellent local business's. It is also the birth place of King Alfred the Great in 849!
