Pub of the Week: Find Your Ideal Pub to Let
Date added: Mon, 04/07/2016 - 10:00
Finding the ideal pub to let can be a challenge. You want it in the right area, you want it the right size and you want it to be perfect for you. It is a very personal thing – just like choosing a house. This weekly blog feature is going to help you find the perfect pub to let.
The Pub Partners team at Greene King is here to help you make the right choice. The team is split into four regions of the country and that is exactly what you will find in this regular blog post.
Choosing the right location
You may think you know the area you want your pub business to be in but what if you can’t find the ideal pub? Often people will move areas to get the pub of their dreams. In the Pub of the Week each region will take it in turns to be the feature location. This will help you get an idea of what it would be like to move there. A new start can often be an exciting catalyst for success.
Choosing the right pub
There are so many types of pubs. Honestly, they come in so many shapes and sizes. By highlighting the wide range of styles and locations i.e. town or village, you’ll get inspiration for the exact pub you want to let. What’s more, with demand so high, you’ll need to be ready to jump on that ideal pub as soon as you see it come up. We will still match the people to the pub but you want to be near the top of that list.
Meeting the Pub Partners team
As the team and the local Business Development Managers share their regional highlights and personal favourites, you will get to know the very people you could end up working in collaboration with. Relationships are vital in the pub trade and at Greene King, having a good relationship with you is core to our values and ethos.
So, we hope that is an exciting enough introduction to the Pub of the Week series. It’s now over to my team now to showcase their pubs and explain more about what makes them such excellent opportunities for you…
The Clachnaharry Inn – Inverness
The Clachnaharry Inn is a great opportunity to build upon the existing high quality food offer and established business. We're looking for an enthusiastic operator to continue the success of this fantastic, traditional pub.
If you'd like to know more please speak to us.
Pig & Truffle – Lichfield
One of the best pubs in the region is the Pig & Truffle.
With its city centre location and outdoor area offers it’s a real opportunity to stand out in the growing city of Lichfield. This pub has all the key ingredients to succeed with a location just off the market square, large kitchen, and ample car parking, making it perfectly placed to provide a daytime coffee offer.
With a planned refurbishment, we are looking to extend the garden and modernise the interior so that it really differentiates itself from the competition, being the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon with coffee and cake or a catch up with friends over a pint.
If you could run a pub like this, we want to hear from you. Let’s talk about it…
Waterside Inn - Derby
We're really excited to share with you a recently refurbished pub in Derby, the Waterside Inn. Formerly known as the Bridge, the pub offers a quirky layout on several levels. As it's name would suggest, it's right on and overlooking the nearby river.
It currently offers BT and Sky sports TV and occasional entertainment. This pub has potential to be a great food pub, I'm looking to speak to people who care about great food and even better customer service.
