Pub overview

Traditional Drinking Local

This pub is at the heart of the neighbourhood, a real ‘home from home’, attracting customers looking for everyday great value drinks, social interaction and entertainment.

In addition to sociability, it’s all about the price and perceived added value. Offering great value on mainstream branded drinks and a strong rhythm of the week – events and offers to attract customers across the whole week looking for a reason to ‘get out of the house’.

Value pricing and promotions will not always be enough to stand out in the local area. The pub will need to become famous for something extra to extend its appeal – live music, DJs, sports viewing and pub games leagues.
The atmosphere may be quite lively, especially at the weekends, with music often driving the energy levels.

The pub will be the ‘hub’ of the local community, developing close ties and links to local associations, sports teams, charities and businesses. This will provide these various organisations with a place to meet and socialise and the pub will often hold charity-linked events in support of their fund raising activities. Additional benefits or discounts may be offered to attract longer term use of the pub.

These activities will cement the pub in being at the heart of its community and will generate a lot of positive local PR and word-of-mouth recommendations.

A traditional pub with great character - there is a main open bar/trade area plus a small snug room to the from of the pub, plus a separate pool/games room.
