The Engine has been famous for live sport and music for many years, there is an opportunity to once again make this the best sport and music venue in the area and add to the recently introduced food offer. This pub is about quality craft beers, cask ales, live sport and music within a comfortable environment. Multiple TV’s, dedicated sports area, revived garden and new drinks range are just part of the opportunity.
The pub consists of three main areas, an area for casual drinking, dining and also the sports area. The sports area has room for live entertainment so it can be used for televising sport, playing pool, darts competitions or live bands. Externally there is a patio which leads to a large beer garden where there are a lot of benches, this would provide further food covers during the warmer seasons. The pub had an investment a year ago so is all ready for a new operator to start.
We are looking for an someone who can develop the food offer within this pub, has knowledge of sports, music and events and are capable of controlling a younger more lively clientele.
The Engines trading areas consist of one main bar, segmented to allow for casual drinking, dining and drinking and a main sports area. The sports area will become multi-purpose allowing for live sport viewing daily, bands etc at weekends and pool and darts throughout the week. Externally we have a patio area, smoking solution and large traditional beer garden.

Baldock is a historic market town in the local government district of North Hertfordshire. The town was founded by the Knights Templar in the 1140s where the River Ivel rises. It lies 33 miles north of London, 15 miles southeast of Bedford and 14 miles northwest of the county town of Hertford.
