Pub overview

Destination food pub, also very popular with locals, great facilities.

The Hermit of Redcoats is a very well presented destination food pub, in the picturesque Hertfordshire village of Little Wymondley. The site has great facilities, including an open fire in the bar area. As we head towards summer, it is a great opportunity to build upon this successful business and maximise it's summer potential. The pub is popular with locals, farmers, gaming shoots and has a good reputation for food.

There is a patio area to the front of the pub, ample parking and a great garden, which is crying out for summer dining and a strong programme of events for the local community.

The unusual name comes from the story of an interesting local character, James Lucas, who was known as the Hermit of Hertfordshire; a Victorian recluse who barricaded himself into his house and communicated only through an iron gate. its an interesting read.

Bar and restaurant, very traditional character decor as you would expect from a real country pub. There is a large garden and patio at the front of the pub. There is enough car parking for approximately 20 cars.
