Pub overview

Well loved and established business, serving the local community with value food, quality drink and live sport

The Maldon Grey is a great Pub, serving the local community. It serves many drinkers who enjoy the atmosphere and live sport on TV and families who are looking for a great value meal. The site is a large single bar operation with the trade area as a horse show around. There are approximately ninety food covers, which are mostly in the dining area, although there are also some in the main bar area. Externally, there is an abundance of space. To either side of the Pub, there are gardens which are both laid to lawn with picnic benches and in the larger garden a children’s play area. As you can imagine, the gardens are incredibly popular in the summer months. To the rear of the Pub, there is a car park with ample spaces.

As you enter the Maldon Grey from the central front door, there is a large single bar ahead, with the main bar area to the left and dining area to the right. There are approximately ninety food covers. The toilets are located to the right, there are also mens and a disabled toilet on the left hand side, both with side entrances. At the rear of the dining area, there is a rear entrance to the car park and gardens. Behind the bar, there is the commercial kitchen, with a small office off. Externally, there are two gardens, one to either side and both laid to lawn. There is a children’s play area in one garden and picnic benches in both. The car park to the rear has approximately twenty eight spaces.

“ I am looking for an experienced operator who is community focused, with knowledge and knowhow of a large value food operation. The Maldon Grey is popular with local drinkers who enjoy the live sport showing on various TVs and families visiting for an affordable meal out, so being able to engage with anyone and everyone is a vital skill. Externally, the two gardens to either side of the Pub are a real draw during the summer months. If you feel you can take this well-established business and maximise its potential, we are keen to hear from you ”
