Sudbury is a market town located on the Suffolk/Essex border. The Maldon Grey is on Cats Lane, which borders Sudbury from Great Cornard. There are over 800 houses within 0.3 mile radius and is very close to Chilton Industrial Estate. Sudbury is known traditionally for its Weaving business and as the birthplace of the Painter Thomas Gainsborough. The Town is approximately fifteen miles south of Bury St Edmunds and 15 miles North West of Colchester. There is also a Train station which links to Marks Tey, which has a direct link to London, so the Town is popular with commuters.

“ I am looking for an experienced operator who is community focused, with knowledge and knowhow of a large value food operation. The Maldon Grey is popular with local drinkers who enjoy the live sport showing on various TVs and families visiting for an affordable meal out, so being able to engage with anyone and everyone is a vital skill. Externally, the two gardens to either side of the Pub are a real draw during the summer months. If you feel you can take this well-established business and maximise its potential, we are keen to hear from you ”
