HUNGRY HORSE LAUNCHES HALLOWEEN-THEMED BURGER FOR CHARITY - COMPLETE WITH DEVIL HORNS!
Hungry Horse pubs are celebrating Halloween by bringing back a devilish dish known as the ‘Hellraiser burger’ and will help raise much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The spooky burger has been brought back for a limited time by Hungry Horse as part of its partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, and features a tasty beef burger patty, topped with lashings of burger sauce, cheese, a layer of pulled pork, jalapeños and ketchup and all served inside a black burger bun with lettuce, sliced tomato, red onion and finished with devilishly spicy chilli horns.
If the thought of the devilish dish has already got your mouth watering, it’s also included in Hungry Horse’s famous BOGOF Burgers deal which runs every Friday so you can enjoy with a fellow burger lover too.
Following the success of the brand’s ‘Greene Warrior’ burger in August, the 250-strong pub chain has announced that £1 from every Hellraiser burger sold will be donated towards Macmillan’s fundraising efforts, helping the charity continue its essential work providing physical, financial and emotional support for those affected by cancer.
The launch of the boldly-coloured burger comes during a challenging year for Macmillan, which has reported significant losses in donations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The charity anticipates a loss of 35-50% of its fundraising revenue this year which it uses to deliver vital services to people living with cancer and to people working in the NHS.
Since partnering with Macmillan in 2014, Greene King team members and guests have raised over £7million for the charity.
Andy Wilson, managing director for destination food brands at Greene King, said: “It’s been a challenging year for Macmillan which is experiencing a fundraising crisis due to Covid-19. We had some fantastic feedback on our ‘Greene Warrior’ burger and we knew there was more that we could do, so we’ve brought back an old favourite on the menu to help provide our customers with a fun and tasty way of helping to support our charity partner at a time of need.”

The burger is available now at all Hungry Horse pubs nationwide and prices start at £7.99 including the £1 Macmillan donation, but prices vary so check your local pub for further details. Punters need to be quick to enjoy one as the burger will only be up for grabs until 1st November, or while stocks last.
