Bay Horse Inn

5 Silver Street, Masham, Ripon, North Yorkshire, HG4 4DX

A GREAT PUB WITH FIVE LETTING ROOMS

The Bay Horse Inn, situated in Masham is a lovely, well presented site with great opportunity for further growth. The site offers food, drink and five letting rooms. The Bay Horse currently trades at an approximate split of 60% wet, 20% food and 20% accommodation. There is a great opportunity here to further drive food sales and you will need to offer strong standards of service, a great product range and really embed yourself in the local community. The site is well supported by local residents, however there is a strong opportunity to attract tourists for a drink, meal or overnight stay. A passion for real ale will also be important, as Masham is home to two excellent Yorkshire breweries and cask ale should be a focal point of the business. We are happy to discuss options around your cask ale range. The pub is well known locally as being rated 'superb' with a 9 rating on Trip Advisor.

Location

Masham is a market town and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire. The Romans had a presence here, but the first permanent settlers were the Angles. Around 900 AD the Vikings invaded, burning and laying waste to the church. They also introduced sheep farming, for which the town is still known. The Bay Horse Inn is located in the busy, traditional town centre. The town is picturesque and typical of the area. There is plenty of local competition, from other pubs, restaurants and cafes.

I am ideally seeking an experienced operator, although this is not essential, who can capitalise upon local opportunities in the community and embrace tourism, to drive sales and letting room occupation. The site should ideally be owner operated to enable you to be at the heart of the community. This is an exciting opportunity to take over an established business, for further information, please contact our recruitment team.
