MANAGED OPERATOR AGREEMENT! PUB MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL
The Cross Keys represents a great opportunity to translate your pub management experience into running your own pub business, with our Managed Operator Agreement. You must have pub management experience and be prepared to be an integral part of the local community and able to drive and promote a regular calendar of events, whilst also driving the traditional pub food offer. You must be able to manage a strong team, promote the pub actively on social media and connect with the community regularly. The pub is situated right next door to York racecourse, which attracts 350,000 racegoers each year and only a mile from the College. Promotion of all sport on TV, quiz nights and events will be key to your success. This is a great opportunity to run your own business, whilst Greene King will offer all the support, training and guidance needed to translate your experience into running your own business.
Forecasted Operator Turnover
Forecasted Operator Profit (inc machine profit)
• 5 Year managed operator agreement • £20,000 per annum guaranteed management fee • Weekly turnover royalty • Plus audit bonuses
Entry cost of £5,000 is payable on change day. This includes legal fees and start up training costs. An extra £2,000 will be required as working capital, to ensure there is sufficient cash flow in the business before we make our first payment to you. You will be responsible for paying any staff wages including Employers National Insurance, liability insurances to protect the business and the public, TV licence and council tax for private accommodation

You will need to estimate the turnover you expect to achieve from the pub, with regard to food and accommodation (if applicable). Barrelage figures are given to assist you with calculations. **Please note trading volumes for year 19/20 are for part year trading and reflect the impact of closure during the Covid 19 pandemic**

I am seeking an operator with pub management and catering experience . I am hoping you will utilise the skills you have gained in management to become a real community champion, who can also capitalise upon the races days at the nearby racecourse.
