Find a pub
The Deramore, in Heslington is a predominantly wet lead pub trading at a 60/40 split in favour of drink, but does have a strong food offer. We will shortly be freshening up the pub with all new signage and external decoration, see the picture to see how the pub will look. The pub benefits from a fully equipped catering kitchen, and an outbuilding that can house a pizza oven in the summer months. The Deramore is an important asset to this affluent village, which now a part of the city of York and is just a stones throw from the main university campus. As you might expect, the pub is popular with local residents and students and it is critical that the new operator is able to balance both completely different customer bases.
Heslington is a suburban village and civil parish within the City of York district, in the county of North Yorkshire, south-east of the centre of York. It is very close to, and a short walk the main campus of York University which has 20,000 students. The Deramore Arms is situated on Main Street in the centre of village, which is an attractive residential street and close to all amenities. It is popular with both the residents and the university students and staff

I am seeking an experienced operator with the skillset to deliver a mixed food and drink offer and ideally have great local knowledge. The ability to engage and attract students and university staff will also be vital here, due to the close by campus.
