Mallard
Station Square, Dingwall, IV15 9JD
ESTABLISHED WET LED, COMMUNITY PUB
The Mallard is a wet led, community pub located on Dingwall Railway station platform. The pub is approximately two hundred yards from Ross County Football Club and is a popular venue with both home and away supporters (pre COVID 19 pandemic). The pub is well supported by the locals, who enjoy socialising and watching sport on TV, as well as seasonal visitors and those on route to the Northern Highlands via train and users of the local Caravan site. The site currently trades at an 80/20 split in favour of wet sales, which provides an opportunity to improve and increase food sales, especially during the winter months when there are not so many visitors about. The pub is well known for quality entertainment and has a late licence until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. The pub takes its name from 'The Mallard' steam train, which used to pass through the station.
