Pub overview

The Station Hotel is located opposite Ipswich Train Station and within close proximity to Ipswich Town FC. Following a successful pub refurbishment in 2016 we are now looking to invest in the 14 letting rooms above the pub.

The Station Hotel consists of 14 letting rooms which are currently closed pending investment. The pub has a large open plan trading area and a basement bar overlooking the River Orwell. With its own parking for 10 vehicles the hotel is well served to offer tourist, commuters and supporters and is a great place to visit whilst traveling to this historic Suffolk Town. The hotel trade space has undergone a full period of refurbishment within the past few years; however there is still scope to add to this with potential to upgrade the letting rooms and the basement bar area/terrace.

The main trading area is a refurbished open plan space. There is a central island bar which offers views of the River and Ipswich Town FC stadium. This also contains a large feature fireplace and modern contemporary décor. Accessed from street level directly opposite the Train Station.

Ipswich is the county town of Suffolk, England, located on the estuary of the River Orwell, about 60 miles north east of London. The town has been continuously occupied since the Saxon period, and its port has been one of England's most important for the whole of its history. With its great links to the A12 and A14 in addition to some large retail parks nearby, the Station Hotel offers an opportunity to capitalise on the large number of visitors to this area.

“ The Station Hotel sits adjacent to Ipswich train station, being the main point of call for commuters. It is currently the main away team pub of choice when playing against Ipswich Town FC due to its proximity to the train station and the football stadium. There are 14 letting rooms which are currently not in use, but a proposed investment is in place. The main trading area has undergone a period of redecoration within the past couple of years and offers a great, open plan relaxed environment to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat. There is a basement bar area which leads out onto the terrace and grassland to the side of the river. ”
