A LOVELY VILLAGE PUB, IN THE CATHEDRAL OF THE PEAKS.
The George Inn, is a traditional English pub, located in the Village of Tideswell. Tourism and the local community are at the heart of this pub, with four letting rooms and regular events which can be hosted in the first floor function room, key to its success. Traditional freshly prepared food and a great local wet trade are at the heart of the pub and the letting rooms enjoy good occupancy rates. The George should strive to be the best pub locally, known for great ale, good food and a comfortable place to stay. The rear courtyard has been improved and invested in recent years, making it a great spot when the weather is warm.
The George Inn is a perfect base for exploring everything there is to see and do in the Peak District, whether you are visiting the great houses of Chatsworth or Haddon Hall or the market towns of Bakewell or Buxton. For the more active, the endless walks of the Peak District including easy access to the Monsal Trail and Penne Way (which are on the doorstep) or for the even more extreme, the climbing areas, caving or abseiling, which are all within easy driving distance of Tideswell and the George Inn. The Peak District is the most visited National Park within the UK & rated as the second most visited worldwide location, as a result, this pub could not be bettered for its location
