George Inn

Commercial Road, Tideswell, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 8NU

A beautiful traditional Inn, set in the Derbyshire Peak District

The George Inn, is a traditional English Inn, located in the Village of Tideswell. Tourism and the local community are at the heart of this Pub, with four letting rooms and regular events key to its success. Hearty Pub grub is offered on a daily basis, so the George Inn is popular with both locals and tourists. Further revenue can be generated by the function/meeting room so revenue can be generated from a multitude of streams. The trade space offers Pool table, Darts throw and space for approximately fifty food covers. The George offers an excellent range of ales, lagers, premium wines and non-alcoholic drinks, with a roaring open fire to relax next to when its cold outside! Externally there is ample car parking space and courtyard.

The George Inn is a perfect base for exploring everything there is to see and do in the Peak District, whether you are visiting the great houses of Chatsworth or Haddon Hall or the market towns of Bakewell or Buxton. For the more active, the endless walks of the Peak District including easy access to the Monsal Trail and Penne Way (which are on the doorstep) or for the even more extreme, the climbing areas, caving or abseiling, which are all within easy driving distance of Tideswell and the George Inn. The Peak District is the most visited National Park within the UK & rated as the second most visited worldwide location, as a result, this Pub could not be bettered for its location

The bar and dining area are served from one bar, with two separate areas one being for dining and an area to enjoy drinks with friends. The pub benefits from a function room on the first floor which can also double up as a meeting room. The function room is used on a regular basis by Tideswell cinema group helping to attract additional guests to the pub. The pub also has a fully operational kitchen. There is a lovely courtyard area to the rear of the pub which is currently underutilised and could be turned into a very useable space. The George has quaint characteristics throughout and four well-appointed letting bedrooms offering full modern facilities within a traditional English Country Inn.
