When you become a Greene King licensee, you can be assured of support, help and advice at every single step of the way.


We invest a lot of time and effort in training our Business Development Managers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to support you in your business. Our Business Development Managers have the opportunity to take part in many Greene King programmes leading to qualifications at degree and post-graduate levels and we are committed to their continuous professional development.

They play a vital role, because they are, in effect, your personal business consultant, advising you on a whole host of important things:

  • Latest initiatives

  • Pub investment plans

  • Ideas and promotions to help generate revenue for you

  • Training and development

  • Your future business plans

Their performance is monitored regularly, and is recorded as part of our Performance Development Review process, which all Greene King employees participate in.

While your Business Development Manager will be your main point of contact on a day-to-day basis, there are a number of other people at Greene King who will help and support you.


Operations Directors are responsible for the overall operation of the region that your pub is in. These are highly qualified and highly experienced business consultants who are able to assist you when you need additional business advice.


Your helpful and knowledgeable Credit Controller will have access to all your account details and can help you with any invoice queries. They are there to assist you when it comes to managing your account and will be more than happy to review payment terms if you experience any difficulties. It’s important to note that credit terms are agreed with you on an individual basis at the beginning of your agreement.


For your convenience, our Cellar Service team are available to repair, maintain and install your beer dispense equipment. If you’re unsure about anything, your licensed property broker will confirm which elements of cellar equipment are owned by Greene King and which you’ll need to purchase.


Our Training team have many years’ experience in training and developing back-of-house and front-of-house teams. Training is vital to improving your business performance, profit and your team’s morale.


Our Marketing Team provide a comprehensive marketing support service, providing marketing advice, event ideas and promotional material to ensure you maximise your sales at every opportunity.


The help, advice and support doesn’t end there. As a Greene King licensee, you’ll also benefit from access to a number of other experienced people (either within the Greene King organisation or representatives of Greene King) who can provide invaluable assistance in the running of your business. This includes licensing advice, Property Helpdesk, Property Surveyors, Estate Managers, Cellar Services team and Dray teams.
