Clive –
“So, we’ve got 11 sites all together. One’s a café, 10 are pubs and four are with Greene King.”
Helen –
“Our relationships are amazing, consistent and I think knowing that there’s so much stability in Greene King, that helps us. We’re just in contact with Greene King as much as we need, we could do it every day. We don’t use Greene King every day but they’re there for us which is great.”

And those individuals are different and you feel like you’re resetting and having to start again.”
Barrie –
“I’ve had the benefit of working with Barons Pub Co; Clive, Helen and the team for five years now. I think the longevity of the relationship really helps understand the business. Helps us to work with them and their businesses.”

They’re quite forward thinking. I think the Covid years really showed us that, didn’t they? All the information we were sent was ahead of time and relevant, we sort of felt a step ahead and the info was really good.”
Barrie –
“They have a fantastic operation; that we would work on business trends and profit generation, margin management, rather than simple footfall driving.”
Helen –
“I think also Greene King do fantastic road shows which are great from a networking point of view, whereas the other pub companies we work with, they maybe haven’t got quite to that stage yet. And we’ve gained so much from those roadshows over the years.”
Barrie –
“We do multiple operator network days and we bring all our best operators together, they get to share time with each other and understand each other’s problems which helps them build relationships within the industry, outside of Greene King. And I think that is a great benefit to them.”
Clive –
“We had a fire here last January, and the response from Greene King was first class. The personal touches, as well as the professional expertise of bringing in the right people to deal with all that, literally on day one. We had messages from Nick Mackenzie and Dan & Mike, and there really was that personal touch there. They made sure everyone was safe, everyone was ok, the response was fantastic.”
