Greene King Pub Partners delivers free social media training to licensees

Greene King Pub Partners, the leased, tenanted and franchise division of Greene King, has been providing free social media training to its leased and tenanted partners.

The workshops aim to give licensees the skills they need to establish and evolve a social media presence that supports growth for their pub businesses.

In the free workshops, Greene King Pub Partners licensees are introduced to the benefits of using social media and the most effective platforms available to them to promote their pub businesses. The workshop sessions also dive deeper into ‘Google Business Profile’ and utilising tools to get the most out of social media and an online presence, including identifying online audiences.

Partners also learn in the workshops best practice for photography and video to enhance their social media content. At the end of the workshops, partners are then given a 90-day planner with time to plan their social media content in the run up to Christmas and beyond.

Developed and organised by social media subject matter experts within Greene King Pub Partners’ Learning and Development team, the free social media workshops started in September, but will be running right through to 23rd November.

The free workshops are taking place in Greene King Pub Partners pubs across England and Scotland, as well as in the Pub Partners dedicated training centre located in Bury St Edmunds. They have been made to help partners grow their businesses through the medium of social media and compliment free financial fitness workshops Greene King Pub Partners delivered to its licensees earlier this year against the backdrop of rising costs and energy bills.

Wayne Shurvinton, Managing Director for Greene King Pub Partners, said:

“Having a good online presence is now more important than ever. If you get your social media right, it can help drive footfall and growth for your pub business.

“Through the in-house expertise of our dedicated Learning and Development team, we have created these free workshops to equip our licensees with the tools and understanding they need to deliver a quality social media presence that benefits their businesses.”
