Prince of Wales in Moseley reopens after £400,000 investment

The Prince of Wales in Moseley, Birmingham, has reopened its doors after an impressive £400,000 investment by pub owner Greene King Pub Partners.

The pub will be operated by multiple operator Sheldon Inns Ltd, which also runs other pubs in partnership with Greene King Pub Partners.

The £400,000 investment has been used to refurbish the pub inside and outside, whilst remaining sympathetic to its heritage.

Inside, new fixtures and fittings have been installed in the pub, including new seating and lighting, which are in keeping with the pub's traditional look and feel.

Outside, the pub’s garden has also been revamped to include firepits and an outside bar, providing customers with a fantastic outdoor experience. Externally, a large mural on the wall of the pub has also been repainted.

The Prince of Wales is a wet led, traditional pub known for its selection of real ales and premium beers. The Sheldon Inns Ltd team who will be operating the pub have therefore received training from Pub Partners’ in-house training team with a specific focus on cask ale including conditioning, ranging and pouring a perfect pint of cask beer.

The investment and refurbishment of the Prince of Wales has been done to bring the pub back to its former glory and remains sympathetic to the pub’s history, whilst making sure it continues to be a great pub for people to socialise in and enjoy a drink for many years to come.

Dan Robinson, Managing Director of Greene King Pub Partners, said:

“We are thrilled with our investment in The Prince of Wales and to be continuing our successful partnership with Sheldon Inns Ltd.

“As a well-known venue locally, our investment in the Prince of Wales will ensure the pub continues to thrive as a great place for people to enjoy for years to come.”
