Knavesmire

Albermarie Road, York, North Yorkshire, YO23 1ER

A SPACIOUS COMMUNITY PUB, CLOSE TO YORK RACECOURSE.

The Knavesmire at York is a large predominately wet led community pub, situated close to the Racecourse and Knavesmire. This pub offers the chance to develop the existing business and take it to new heights, building upon the wet trade and introduce more food to the pub, whilst engaging with the community to encourage groups use and activity. The pub has 5 distinct rooms and even houses a full size snooker table. The space can be used for various events or functions throughout the year. We are currently looking into a capital expenditure programme to develop the pub and modernise. The business has solid foundations and we intend to work alongside the new partner to build upon this base and increase trade. Once this has been established, we are keen to involve any new partner in the refurbishment scheme.

Location

The Knavesmire is situated on the edge of a large residential housing development in the south west corner of the city or York. The pub is close to the famous Racecourse and the Knavesmire. York is a walled city in northeast England that was founded by the ancient Romans. Its huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral, York Minster, has medieval stained glass and 2 functioning bell towers. The City Walls form a walkway on both sides of the River Ouse.

I am seeking an experienced operator to take advantage of this large pub with multiple revenue streams. Local knowledge will be essential and you should be open minded about developing the pub alongside Greene King in the future via a capital expenditure programme.
