Lady Elizabeth
Market Hill, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2EA
NOW WITH REDUCED HEAD RENT
The Lady Elizabeth is a charming 16th century inn situated in the heart of the historic south Suffolk market town of Sudbury. The building was refurbished to a high standard in 2015 and remains in good order. The building retains much of its character with oak beams and an open fireplace. The 7 en-suite bedrooms offer an excellent revenue stream, especially as there is a lack of hotel rooms in Sudbury. The pub attracts customers on the busy market days, as well as during the evenings on the local drinking circuit, offering a comfortable environment.

Location
Sudbury is a market town in Suffolk, on the River Stour near the Essex border, 60 miles north-east of London. It is the largest town in the Babergh local government district and part of the South Suffolk constituency. The town became notable for its art in the 18th century, being the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough, whose landscapes offered inspiration to John Constable, another Suffolk painter of the surrounding Stour Valley area. The Lady Elizabeth sits on Market Hill in the town centre, next to the twice weekly market and surrounded by various shops, pubs and coffee shops.

As you enter through the front door the bar is directly in front of you with seating for food and drink to the right and left of the pub. As you walk through to the back of the pub you pass both male and female toilets to the side, an entrance that takes you to the letting rooms and then up to a second seating area for drinking or dining. Externally there is a courtyard that runs alongside the side of the pub, which is always popular during the warmer weather and leads to a small car park.
