Macebearer

Home Farm Lane, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP33 2RH

REFURBISHMENT PLANNED!

The Macebearer, Bury St Edmunds is a former Greene King managed house which has now transferred to our leased and tenanted division. We will be investing £110,000 into the site to breathe a new lease of life into it. The scheme will ensure the pub remains a true community local, giving the site an external facelift and a great outdoor area, complete with TVs to watch all the latest live sport. Internally the pub will receive a sparkle and refresh, focusing on a value food menu and bringing the locals together.

Location

Bury St Edmunds, commonly referred to locally as Bury, is a historic market, cathedral city and a civil parish in Suffolk. Bury St Edmunds Abbey is near the town centre. Bury is the seat of the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich of the Church of England, with the episcopal see at St Edmundsbury Cathedral. The Macebearer lies within the Harwick Shopping Centre on Home Farm Lane which houses a convenience store, Fish and Chip shop, hairdressers and other local shops. The pub is close to both the Nowton and Hardwick estates as well as West Suffolk Hospital.
