Referral scheme - terms & conditions
The ‘Promoter’ is Greene King Pub Partners, a member of the Greene King group of companies (the ‘Group’), registered at Westgate Brewery, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1QT. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions at any time. The ‘Promotion Start Date’ is 01/07/19.
The ‘Nominee’ is a person nominated as a potential Licensee for a Greene King Pub Partners pub and must be over 21 years old, resident in the UK, without a criminal record, and does not currently or previously hold a Greene King Pubs Partners agreement.
The ‘Referee’ named by a Nominee must be over 18 years old.
The nomination of the Referee must be made in accordance with the instructions explained in this leaflet.
The Referee and Nominee agree to gain consent from each other to pass on their personal contact information to the Promoter. The Promoter will use the personal contact information to contact the Nominee(s) about running a pub. The Promoter is required to comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation in relation to the processing of any personal information obtained from you, including when you take part in this promotion. By entering this promotion, you have provided your personal information (email, phone number and name) to the Promoter who is the Data Controller. Your personal information will be processed by the Promoter in performing the contract you have entered into with the Promoter by entering the promotion. Any personal information collected may be shared with other companies in the Group and will be used for administrative or operational reasons connected with the promotion including to communicate with you. The Promoter will not pass your personal information outside of the EEA or to any other external organisation without your prior permission. Your personal information will be retained for 12 months from receipt of the referral details to enable the Promoter to complete administration of the promotion. You have the right to object to processing of personal information and to have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked, erased or destroyed. If you have a concern about the way the Promoter is collecting or using your personal data, please raise your concern with the Data Protection Officer in the first instance at dataprotection@greeneking.co.uk. Alternatively, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/concerns/.
The Promoter will pay £3,000 Reward to the Referee of the registered Nominee(s) when the Nominee(s) starts a Standard Tenancy or Standard Lease with Greene King within one year of nomination and once the nominee has been on the agreement for a minimum of 3 months. In the event that the Promoter cannot contact the Referee using the contact information provided, it will be the Referee’s responsibility to claim their Reward. If more than one person is named by a Nominee, the Reward will be sent to the first person only.
In the event that two or more Nominees take on an Agreement jointly with other Nominees, the Promoter will only pay a single £3,000 Reward which will be divided proportionately between the respective Referees.
No Reward will be payable in respect of any person in discussion with Greene King about running a pub before the Promotion Start Date. The Promoter’s decision is final. These terms and conditions (and any non-contractual disputes/claims which arise out of or in connection with them) will be governed by English law and Referees and Nominees submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
